The sixteenth edition of the Market Art Fair, led by managing director Sara Berner Bengtsson, presents a forward-looking fair with an ambitious and progressive line-up of internationally established artists, and support for younger galleries that represent a broad range of artistic expression. This year’s edition of the fair includes Market Extended, an opportunity to experience large scale installations and sculptural works outdoors, sited at Liljevach’s courtyard.
Highlights of this year’s fair include presentations from the Nordic region's foremost artists including renowned Icelandic artists Ragnar Kjartansson, Arna Óttarsdóttir and Shoplifter (Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir); Galerie Nordenhake presents Petra Gipp and Mikael Olsson, whose acclaimed collaboration began in preparation for the Venice Architecture Biennale 2018; Tal R and Jeppe Hein, from Denmark, both have concurrent solo exhibitions in Stockholm museums during the fair – Tal R at Artipelag and Jeppe Hein at Moderna Museet. Visitors can also experience showcases from leading contemporary Swedish artists including Mamma Andersson, Julia Bondesson, Theresa Traore Dahlberg, Åsa Jungnelius and Eva Màg.
