ELINA BROTHERUS

Elina Brotherus (b. in Helsinki 1972) studied photography in Helsinki and Berlin.

Her photographs are primarily self-portraits, but sometimes incorporating other people who have a special meaning in her life.  Her work has a direct relationship with her reality, dealing with marriage troubles, loss of her parents and divorce.  It often deals with love and it’s side-effects; the absence or presence of it in its different forms.
