LAWRENCE WEINER's text-based work SHELLS USED TO BUILD ROADS POURED UPON SHELLS USED TO PAY THE WAY, AT THE LEVEL OF THE SEA (2008) can now be seen on The Bass museum’s south-facing wall between Collins and Park Avenue. The work, which references its topography and adjacency to rising sea levels, is part of a collective public art project spearheaded by The Bass to continue to make art accessible while their buildings are closed.
